You may be at increased risk if you are:

19 or older with certain chronic conditions
Conditions include diabetes, asthma, COPD, chronic heart disease, and chronic kidney failure.
Adults taking certain medicines that suppress the immune system are also at increased risk.
Prevnar† vaccines have a demonstrated safety profile and have been given to approximately 75 million‡ adults in the US over 10 years.
